Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
CTI Global Logistics B.V. ("CTI", "we", "us") is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We provide time-critical logistics services to business customers worldwide.
Controller: CTI Global Logistics B.V.
Parellaan 14, 2132 WS Hoofddorp, Netherlands
Email: privacy@cti-gl.com
2. What data we collect
We only collect personal data that we need to respond to enquiries and deliver our services. This includes:
- Contact details you provide through our website forms or by email — name, company, work email, telephone number.
- Enquiry content — the shipment details, routing, commodity and any information you choose to include in a brief or quote request.
- Technical data — limited server log information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated automatically when you visit the site, used to keep the site secure and running.
We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not submit it through our forms.
3. How and why we use it
We use the personal data you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- arrange, coordinate and deliver the logistics services you request;
- communicate with you about active shipments and your account;
- meet our legal, customs, tax and regulatory obligations;
- maintain the security and integrity of our website.
4. Legal basis
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one) — to respond to enquiries and deliver services.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure our website and to communicate with business contacts about their enquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain records for customs, tax or aviation-security compliance.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary to deliver our service or meet a legal requirement, including with:
- carriers, airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers and delivery agents involved in your shipment;
- regulatory, customs and security authorities where required by law;
- trusted service providers (for example, our email and website hosting providers) acting on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and to meet our legal and regulatory retention obligations (which, for customs and financial records, can be several years). Enquiry data that does not lead to a shipment is retained for a shorter period and then deleted.
7. International transfers
Because we operate a global network, personal data connected to a shipment may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase data or restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- request a portable copy of data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent where we relied on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@cti-gl.com. We will respond within the timeframes set by law.
9. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies necessary to make it work and, where you agree, to help us understand how it is used. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
10. Contact & complaints
If you have a question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact privacy@cti-gl.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
